North Platte - The Callahan Cancer Center at Great Plains Health has once again earned a three-year accreditation from the Commission on Cancer (CoC), a quality program of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). To earn voluntary CoC accreditation, a cancer program must meet 34 CoC quality care standards, be evaluated every three years through a survey process and maintain levels of excellence in the delivery of comprehensive patient-centered care. The Callahan Cancer Center has maintained this accreditation
since 1995.
“We believe in offering cancer treatments close to home for Greater Nebraskans,” Ivan Mitchell, CEO, says. “We are committed to providing comprehensive, innovative and compassionate care. Our CoC accreditation is a demonstration of our team’s dedication to offering the best patient experience. We are proud to continue our accreditation with CoC.”
